At Agra Dot Energy, we are dedicated to designing and deploying the next generation of clean, decentralized power solutions. Our expertise lies in transforming waste streams into stable, intelligent energy grids. Within The PLASMA Project—the joint venture between Agra Energy Uganda (AEU) and DeReticular—we are the vital engine, responsible for engineering the entire power system that fuels the 7,000-acre AI Campus in Kaabong, Uganda.
Our mandate is to ensure the project operates with zero-waste and achieves its critical goal of carbon-negative operations. This report details Agra Dot Energy’s specific technical and operational responsibilities and outlines the massive revenue potential embedded in our resilient energy framework.
1. The Power Mandate: Agra Dot Energy’s Core Responsibilities
Agra Dot Energy is the project’s technical expert for all energy production, conversion, and management systems.
Technological Implementation & Validation
- Plasma Gasification Deployment: Our core responsibility is the design, installation, and operation of the advanced 210 Tons Per Day (TPD) plasma gasification unit. This technology is the heart of the circular economy model, converting hemp waste into clean energy.
- Targeting Low-Cost Deployment: We are central to the critical feasibility study, aiming to validate the unit’s highly competitive $10 million capital cost, a figure dramatically below industry benchmarks ($27–$82 million). This cost advantage is essential for the project’s financial viability.
- Energy Output Management: We ensure the system produces a stable 10–11 MW of electricity and heat, alongside syngas for industrial use. We manage the integration of this power into the national grid and for internal campus consumption.
Circular Economy Byproducts and Resilience
- Byproduct Engineering: We manage the conversion of plasma gasification byproducts into marketable or valuable goods: Biochar (returned to AEU’s fields for soil enhancement) and Vitrified Slag (for construction materials). This ensures the zero-waste status of the campus.
- Microgrid and Energy Resilience: We are responsible for implementing a resilient power system, likely including solutions like the Swarm Battery Energy Storage System (SwarmBESS™), to stabilize power output, manage peak loads, and provide backup power for the mission-critical RIOS AI Compute Cluster.
2. Financial Trajectory: Revenue and Scaling via Power Production
Agra Dot Energy’s financial success is derived from the stable, long-term revenue generated by the power production assets we design and operate.
Grant Funding Expectations (Indirect)
Our technology aligns The PLASMA Project perfectly with major funding focused on Clean Energy and Waste-to-Energy Solutions:
- Environmental Alignment: The carbon-negative and zero-waste metrics driven by our plasma gasification process are crucial for attracting capital from sustainability-focused investors and large grants (e.g., those from the African Development Bank).
- Funding Utilization: A significant portion of the project’s $30 Million initial investment is allocated directly to our domain: the $10 Million for the Plasma Gasification Unit and a portion of the $10–$12 Million for Processing Facilities and Infrastructure.
Revenue Expectations (The Stable Energy Anchor)
Agra Dot Energy contributes to the project’s most stable revenue stream: long-term energy sales, which act as a powerful anchor for the overall project financials.
Revenue Stream | Basis of Revenue | Projected Annual Revenue Contribution |
Renewable Electricity Sales | Sale of 10 MW of electricity (8,760 hours/year) at a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) rate (assumed $0.10/kWh). | $8.76 Million Annually (Contributes the majority of the projected $18.5M Hemp/Energy Revenue). |
Byproduct Sales | Revenue from the sale of Vitrified Slag (construction) and indirect revenue from the increased hemp yield due to Biochar soil enhancement. | Contributes to cost reduction and overall profitability. |
The Blueprint for Replication: Scaling the Energy Model
Our greatest value is in our scalability. The successful deployment and validation of the 10 MW plasma gasification unit in Kaabong provides the data needed to replicate the energy blueprint for the full 10-campus vision.
- 100 MW+ Vision: Scaling to 10 campuses means Agra Dot Energy will have engineered and deployed over 100 MW of resilient, zero-waste power generation across Uganda, positioning us as a leader in Africa’s clean energy transition.
- AI Integration: The integration of our systems with DeReticular’s AI allows for dynamic energy management—powering the RIOS AI Compute Cluster and ensuring the overall stability of the 20% Community Share fund, which is reliant on a stable, high-performance energy source.
Agra Dot Energy is building the sustainable power grid of tomorrow, today. Our work ensures that The PLASMA Project is not only profitable but that its energy foundation is intelligent, resilient, and dedicated to a carbon-negative future.
