The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will be holding a webinar Nov. 1 on reducing the risk of age-related cognitive decline in older adults.

OneOp, formerly the Military Families Learning Network, is a virtual professional development platform for providers who serve military families. The free webinar will be held from 10-11 a.m.
Participants can register by visiting https://tx.ag/OneOpCognitiveDecline. Once registered, participants will receive an email with instructions and a link to attend. The webinar can also be viewed on YouTube Live for those who are unable to open or access the link. For technical support, contact OneOp at contact@oneop.org.

AgriLife Extension program specialist Rachel Brauner, Bryan-College Station, said the webinar will explain age-related cognitive decline and discuss strategies people can use to help reduce their risk of decline as they get older.
Featured speakers and learning objectives
Andrew Crocker, AgriLife Extension specialist in gerontology and health, Amarillo, and Jenna Anding, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension specialist in the Department of Nutrition in the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will be the featured speakers.
The webinar will cover the following topics:
- Examining the broad aspects of cognitive decline.
- Identifying nutrition as a protective lifestyle choice for brain health.
- Engaging in training exercises to support brain function.
