The 20th-century electrical grid is a marvel of engineering. It is also a relic. A sprawling, centralized, and increasingly fragile system, it faces a perfect storm of challenges: aging infrastructure, the intermittency of renewables, volatile fuel markets, and the ever-present threat of physical and cyber-attacks. The SPS-10MW is a fully redundant, multi-train, 10 MW power station engineered for continuous, baseload operation. It is a comprehensive solution designed to solve three of a region’s most pressing problems simultaneously: it provides a significant source of stable, distributed power to the grid; it transforms up to 180 tons of regional biomass and organic waste per day into a valuable asset; and it creates a powerful engine for local economic development.

The Architecture of Utility-Scale Resilience: N+N Fault Tolerance

A utility asset is defined by its reliability. The SPS-10MW is engineered with a core principle of N+N fault tolerance, providing a level of resilience that is impossible with a single, monolithic system.

Imagine a four-engine airplane. If one engine fails, the plane continues to fly safely. Our multi-train architecture applies this same principle to power generation. The SPS-10MW is built with multiple, independent processing trains of our core Plasma Gasification and GTL modules. This design provides exceptional fault tolerance and operational flexibility. If one entire train is taken offline for scheduled maintenance, the other trains continue to operate seamlessly, allowing the plant to maintain a high percentage of its nameplate capacity. For a grid operator, this means the SPS-10MW is not an unpredictable variable; it is a firm, reliable, and predictable source of baseload power.

Doubling the Value Proposition: Cogeneration (CHP)

At the 10 MW scale, the system generates a substantial amount of high-quality waste heat. The SPS-10MW is engineered with an integrated Waste Heat Recovery System, enabling it to operate in a highly efficient Cogeneration (Combined Heat and Power – CHP) mode.

This captured thermal energy is a valuable secondary asset. It can be sold to local customers as steam or hot water, creating a powerful new revenue stream and dramatically increasing the plant’s overall energy efficiency to over 85%. This transforms the plant from a simple electricity generator into a comprehensive district energy system, capable of powering and heating an entire eco-industrial park, a large-scale greenhouse complex, or a residential community.

The Core Technology: Clean, Tar-Free, and Proven

The SPS-10MW leverages our proven, modular technologies, scaled for utility-level output:

  1. Plasma Gasification: Our proprietary plasma gasification cores use temperatures hotter than the surface of the sun to perform a complete molecular disassembly of feedstock. This is not incineration. It is a clean thermochemical conversion that produces a high-quality, tar-free synthesis gas (syngas), eliminating the primary point of failure for traditional gasification systems.
  2. Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) Conversion: The pristine syngas is catalytically reformed into a stable, energy-dense, ultra-clean liquid synthetic fuel. This stored fuel acts as a critical buffer, completely decoupling the power generation from the gasification process and ensuring absolute operational stability.
  3. AI-Powered Fleet Management: The entire multi-train plant is governed by our ADE-CO-500 Central Control module. This “digital twin” uses AI to continuously optimize the performance of the entire fleet of modules in real-time, ensuring maximum efficiency, yield, and reliability.
