A 3 MW power plant cannot have a single point of failure. To achieve the level of reliability required for mission-critical industrial operations, the SPS-3MW is built on a parallel processing architecture.
- Multiple Plasma Gasification Cores: The system utilizes multiple independent ADE-GC-200 Plasma Gasification Cores. This “N+1” design is a cornerstone of its resilience. If one gasifier needs to be taken offline for scheduled maintenance (e.g., electrode replacement), the other trains can continue to operate seamlessly. This allows the plant to run at a reduced, but still substantial, capacity rather than shutting down completely, ensuring operational continuity.
- Scaled GTL & Power Generation: The syngas from the multiple gasifiers is fed into a scaled-up ADE-SC-300 Syngas Conditioning & GTL Reactor. The resulting ultra-clean liquid fuel is then stored and used to power a larger, 3+ MW industrial gas turbine from a world-class OEM. This architecture, which decouples fuel production from power generation, provides both the high capacity and the deep level of operational resilience that industrial leaders demand.
